Ava Valianti's 'Laugh Track' hums the ache of wondering if

you're living your own life or just playing a role in someone else’s.

Ava Valianti

Valianti opens up about living with the pressure to perform, the need to be liked, and the spiral of self-awareness that comes with both. She pours her heart out using quiet humor to talk about something so many of us feel but rarely say out loud: the fear that people aren’t laughing with us, they’re laughing at us.

She draws comparisons to "The Truman Show" and "How I Met Your Mother's Ted Mosby" (not to glamorize their characters) to question what it means to constantly see yourself through someone else’s lens. There’s a soft ache to the way she sings but there’s also a silent comfort in knowing someone else gets it. The indie acoustic production keeps the highlight on her voice, letting each word be expressed without losing meaning.

'Laugh Track' is for the overthinkers, the people-pleasers, and for anyone who’s ever winced watching a character on screen because they felt a little too seen.
