The EP kicks off with the title track 'Smile,' an upbeat, slightly edgy track that challenges you to let your guard down against vulnerability. The song speaks cleverly to a generation struggling to show their true emotions, suffocating under the weight of societal pressures. With a beat that’s impossible not to vibe to, the song feels like a call to break free from playing by the rules v/s living your truth.

Meanwhile, 'Pretty' takes a genuine dive at societal beauty standards, raging against the pressure to look or act a certain way and try to please people with a 'picture-perfect' standard. The narrative sings about being who you are and serves as a bold reminder to embrace one's own identity by staying true to yourself, regardless of outside judgments. This track, with its rebellious edge, acts as a voice for anyone who has ever felt buried under the weight of societal norms.

A sense of togetherness and compassion are found throughout this EP, especially in the track called 'I'll Be There.' This track acts as the EP's emotional anchor. The song focuses on channeling that strength, hidden somewhere in you and the power of small acts of kindness. Lines like, "Find someone in need and tell them 'I'll be there for you,'" push the idea that togetherness with the right people can make the world a better place, even in the face of life's everyday challenges. It’s a powerful reminder of the difference empathy and support can make in someone’s life.

The titular track 'Lifted' continues the tone for the album's core message of positivity and perseverance. It emphasizes rising above life's obstacles and embracing every day with a smile. The track embodies the spirit of the entire record by encouraging a carefree point-of-view in life, the belief that things will get better, and the confidence that comes with choosing happiness. The repetition of the line, "I feel so lifted," perfectly summarizes the euphoric, light-hearted energy this EP radiates.

Moving on to the second last track 'Lighters to the Sky' affirms the theme of positivity that is spread throughout the album. The song acts as a rallying cry to stand tall, dream big, and face challenges head-on. The song also urges listeners to keep their heads up and tackle the twists and turns of life, serving as a reminder to not lose sight of the path you're looking forward to.

Coming to the cherry on top of the album, 'Overload' explores the overwhelming chaos of modern life, but it ends on a hopeful note. It calls for the release of pent-up emotions and stresses, offering a sense of belonging through love and kindness.

Beyond the surface-level positivity, Lifted delved into deeper emotional territory where Chandra offered moments of vulnerability and delivered a flawless narrative journey through each song that will lift your mood when the final seconds of their last song on the album fade.

Lifted is a prime example of how the power of positivity, connection, and self-expression in a life that only saw black and white before now bursts with dazzling colors.
